WWJD doesn’t cut it

Everyone is familiar with WWJD. It is on bumber stickers, bracelets, clothes, etc., etc. It stands for “What would Jesus do?”. Some people have gotten to the point that WWJD is just a joke - since no-one really does anything with the answer to the question. While it is a great question to ask when faced with pretty much anything in life, it is useless without an action…. just like 95% of the “life solutions” presented by the Church, psychologists, and our culture in general. This is just another case of “experiencing”, “re-living”, “being in the moment”, and all that.

The missing part? … DWJD … What’s that? “Do What Jesus Did” So, you come to that situation, you ask the important question, “What would Jesus do?”…. Then comes the part of actually doing it. Yes, that most important part of being a Christ follower - the following. Without DWJD, you do not become like Christ, you do not grow, you become stale, a dead branch. There even is an old fashioned word for this…… obedience.
