Thank You
By the way…. thank you to whomever sent over the pistachios. They were very good… and they disappeared very quickly.

I had a collection agent finally explain to me the purpose of having friends. She said, and I paraphrase, “If you can’t ask your friends for several thousand dollars to help you out with your debt, then what are they for?” Wow. I’d hate to be one of her friends. I bet she’s never picked up a tab in her life.

So several very kind and considerate people got together and got us a bunch of pre-made frozen dinners. Both freezers in our fridges are full. So, yesterday our oven stopped working. Nice.

More in my musical journey.
An Excerpt from the song A Breath or Two from
Not Without Love by Jimmy Needham
Simply stated simple minded love for you
Has simply been completely complicated
And I’m finding
This daily drudgery is finally catching up to me
Its time for this abandon to make much of you
And less of meI want to breathe in
I want to breathe in and out againI’m tired of putting one foot in front of the other
I’m weary of where it leads me too
I’m tired of moving on from my father
Make me rest my head and take a breath or twoO for a slower pace
Moving at the speed of sound sounds like a race to me
O to be at ease
Moving at the speed of sound gets hard on the knees

I have my Bible software set to open to a random verse. Today it opened to the Message version of Matt. 10:39, “If your first concern is to look after yourself, you’ll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you’ll find both yourself and me.”
I guess it’s time to re-focus…

I'm an opinionated technology, music and information junkie who is just trying to understand two things before he dies: Why do people insist on spending money for crappy software and technology that takes away their security and rights; and why is it that if a church is trying to reach people that don't already go to church, it's considered to be a bad thing.
